Finance

You’ll develop the analytical expertise and strategic thinking skills you need to understand and navigate complex financial systems, preparing you for success in a wide spectrum of careers — and to make a meaningful impact in whatever you do.

Overview

Finance studies address the ways in which money, investments, and financial systems influence individual choices, corporate strategies, and broader economic dynamics. At Lisburn University, we explore the many ways financial principles can be applied — and sometimes misapplied — to shape markets, businesses, and economies globally.

One day in class, your professor might present a real-world financial report or a stock market trend analysis. You and your classmates analyze, critique, and discuss the report from different angles, such as its underlying data, its economic implications, its potential risks, and its alignment with financial theories. Then you create your own financial model or investment proposal in response.

Career Opportunities

Our graduates work and intern in a range of roles across diverse fields — investment banking, corporate finance, financial planning, asset management, accounting, insurance, and consulting. Many have gone on to establish successful careers as financial analysts, risk managers, auditors, and entrepreneurs, while others have pursued graduate studies in finance, business administration, economics, and data analytics.
