Overview
Cultural anthropology explores the ways in which human behavior, beliefs, and traditions shape and are shaped by the societies in which we live. At Lisburn University, we delve into the diverse cultures and social structures that exist worldwide, examining how cultural practices influence everyday life, relationships, and broader global issues.
One day in class, your professor might present a ritual or cultural practice from a remote community. You and your classmates will analyze, critique, and discuss that practice from various perspectives, such as its social significance, the values it reflects, and its impact on identity and community. Then, you’ll share your own observations and reflections on how cultural practices connect across societies.
