International Business

You’ll develop the global awareness and strategic thinking skills you need to navigate the complexities of international markets, cultures, and business practices — preparing you to lead and innovate in a dynamic global economy.

Overview

International business examines how companies, governments, and organizations operate and interact across borders, shaping the flow of goods, services, and ideas. At Lisburn University, we delve into the strategies, challenges, and opportunities of conducting business in a globalized economy — exploring trade, finance, cultural differences, and emerging markets.

One day in class, your professor might present a case study about a multinational corporation entering a new market. You and your classmates analyze, debate, and discuss the company’s strategy from multiple perspectives, such as cultural adaptability, regulatory compliance, market risks, and ethical considerations. Then, you design your own successful global market entry.

Career Opportunities

Our graduates work and intern in a diverse array of fields, including international trade, global marketing, supply chain management, international finance, consultancy, and business development. Many have secured positions in multinational corporations, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations, while others have launched their own international ventures.

Additionally, some graduates pursue advanced studies in international business, global economics, law, and public policy, further equipping themselves to lead and innovate in the global marketplace.
