Financial Analysis

You’ll develop the analytical and critical thinking skills necessary to assess and interpret financial data across various sectors. You’ll be prepared to make informed decisions and drive success in any financial analysis role — ultimately contributing to the growth and stability of organizations and economies.

Overview

Financial analysis explores the ways in which data, numbers, and trends reflect and affect business performance and decision-making. At Lisburn University, we examine how financial analysis can be used to drive strategic decisions, assess risks, and optimize operations across sectors, including corporate, government, and investment industries.

One day in class, your professor might present a financial report from a leading company or economic data from a government agency. You and your classmates will analyze, critique, and discuss that report from various perspectives, such as its methodology, its assumptions, its implications for the company’s future, and the broader economic impact. Then, you’ll apply your learning to conduct your own financial analysis and propose actionable insights.

Career Opportunities

Our graduates work and intern in a diverse range of fields including corporate finance, investment banking, financial consulting, risk management, accounting, private equity, financial planning, and insurance. They also contribute to the financial strategy of organizations in sectors such as technology, healthcare, manufacturing, and government. Some graduates have launched their own financial advisory firms, while others have gone on to pursue graduate studies in finance, economics, data analytics, or business administration.
