Overview
Product Design explores how innovative ideas are transformed into functional, user-centered products that enhance everyday life. At Lisburn University, we examine the intersection of creativity, technology, and market needs to develop products that are both aesthetically appealing and highly functional.
One day in class, your professor might present a case study on a groundbreaking product or emerging design trend. You and your classmates analyze, critique, and discuss its usability, materials, sustainability, and market impact. Then, you create your own product concept, applying design principles and problem-solving techniques to address real-world challenges.
Career Opportunities
Our graduates pursue careers and internships in a wide range of industries, including industrial design, user experience (UX) design, product development, packaging design, and sustainable design. Many have launched their own successful design studios or pursued further studies in design innovation, engineering, or business. Others have contributed to global corporations, startups, and research institutions, shaping the future of product design through creativity, technology, and human-centered solutions.
