Overview
Graphic design explores the ways in which visual elements, colors, typography, and images influence human behavior and communication. At Lisburn University, we examine how design can be used — and sometimes misused — to effect change in culture, advertising, branding, marketing, and every other realm where visuals shape perception and influence decision-making.
One day in class, your professor might show a marketing campaign or advertisement from a well-known brand. You and your classmates analyze, critique, and discuss the design from different angles, such as its composition, message, target audience, visual hierarchy, and emotional appeal. Then you create your own design project in response.
Career Opportunities
Our graduates work and intern in a range of jobs across diverse industries — advertising, branding, marketing, web design, digital media, publishing, product design, animation, film, and photography. Many of our graduates have also launched their own design agencies or freelance businesses. Others have pursued advanced studies in design, architecture, fine arts, user experience (UX) design, and related fields.
